Непростой вопрос-щенок крем или румянец (пол крема). Щенки, рожденные от двух кремовых собак-всегда крем. Щенки от крема и собаки с геном крема -не всегда крем.Люблю генетику =). Это совсем не сложно! Если вы мечтаете о кремовом щенке- постарайтесь разобраться ДО покупки или спросите совета у тех, кто дружит с генетикой и имеет ясный взгляд на реальность. УДАЧИ!

- A cream should have no reddish tint to its coat.
Cream is caused by what is known as chinchilla dilution (ch) on both c-series alleles, a type of dilution which affects pheomelanin but not eumelanin; therefore, two chinchilla-diluted c-series alleles will turn a red (whether a- or e-series) basecoat into cream or turn red points on a pointed dog into cream.
- There is no such thing as an "American cream". If a person is selling a dachshund with that label, they are simply trying to get one over on their buyers; the dog is not a cream and therefore should not be advertized as such. Two alleles of concentrated pigment (CC) is a red, only one allele of concentrated pigment (Ccch) is a blush, and no alleles of concentrated pigment (cchcch) is a cream (can accurately be called "English cream" if the dog is also from England).
- A cream mated to a red that does not carry for cream can only produce blushes (Ccch); in other words, half-red half-creams. Blushes may be lighter in color than many reds, but they are still blushes and not creams, nonetheless.
- A puppy that is born cream-colored can either be a clear (unshaded) red, blush, cream (or the dilute of any of these), and most are likely ESPS in pattern. Shaded creams (and even many shaded blushes) are usually born dark grey, sometimes almost black, and they lighten as they get older

English Cream. To be a cream, a puppy has to get the gene from BOTH of the parents or its just a red puppy carrying the cream gene or not a cream at all. How is it that so many breeders end up with "cream" puppies in a litter with only one of the parents being a cream? I have looked at pedigrees on puppies listed as such and have not seen one single cream listed on one of the parents side and the puppy itself really looks like a red pup. If you breed two creams together then you will get 100% cream puppies in the litter. This includes the black/cream and choc/cream as well since the cream gene only effects the red hair turning it to a cream color. Sometimes it's not that the father is another dog but that one of the parents is not a true cream but only a carrier of cream. People want their puppies to be creams so bad that sometimes they just don't see the fact that the parent is really just a light red. As I've seen before, Red puppy...$$, Cream puppy...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
